The population of Japan is 126 million.
According to Japanese government this Wednesday(Jan. 20,2021), Japan will receive 144 million coronavirus vaccine doses from Pfizer Inc. within this year, to inoculate 72 million people covering more than half of the population.
To cover the rest of the population, we will receive the doses from Moderna Inc. sufficient for 25 million people, and from AstraZeneca Plc sufficient for 60 million people. Altogether, it is likely that Japan will secure doses covering 157million people.
The government is preparing to start the vaccination by late February, starting from medical workers.

日本の人口は1億2,600万人です。水曜日(1月20日)時点、日本政府によると、日本は米ファイザー社から本年度内に1億4,400万のコロナウイルスワクチンを受け取ります。その数で、日本の人口の半分が予防接種できます。残りの人口をカバーするために、米モデルナ社から2,500万人分、英アストラゼネカ社から6,000万人分を購入します。全て合計すると、1億5,700万人分に行き渡るワクチンを確保できそうです。
日本政府は、2月下旬から、医療従事者にワクチン接種を開始できるよう、準備を進めています。
